Tom worked with me at the Burlington Railroad for many years. He took an early buyout and moved to Arizona but we continued to correspond. In the last two years of his life, he was in a hospice program. I think that is one of the longest periods for anyone to be on hospice.
He was near death several times but seemed to always
"come back". Tom was a very talented person, at one time he taught some of us at the Railroad to make silk flowers. We would meet at his house after work and have "class". I think he missed his calling by not doing that type of work as his lifetime job. He died last year in Arizona and is buried in Lincoln at Wyuka.

"Tommy" Scott was the Brad Pitt of the first grade at Havelock Elementary School. He was so cute. My other memory of Tom is that his family had one of the first TV sets in Havelock. Tom's brother, Larry, was in my brother Gary's class, so one night each week Gary and I were allowed to ride our bikes to Larry and Tommy's house to watch tv. So Tom was another one of us who started kindergarten together in Havelock and eventually graduated from Northeast together.
